Acne Before After

ACNE

By the age of 24, over 85% of all adolescent and young adults will have experienced acne, and up to 50% of adults will do so after the age of 25. It is one of the world’s most common and most misunderstood skin ailments. Acne is caused by the sebaceous glands responding to hormone imbalances common during adolescence and pregnancy. Oil combines with skin cells to clog the glands; normal skin bacteria colonise the glands and the body responds with inflammation and reddened skin.

Acne can range in severity, from the occasional blemish through the spectrum of pimples, blackheads, whiteheads and even large cysts and painful swellings and inflammation.

Tailoring a skin health program to suit the level of congestion and acne in your skin. We have a number of effective therapies that, when combined with a prescription of our advanced skin care ranges, can help control and significantly reduce acne.

ACNE SCARRING/

AGEING SKIN/ FINE LINES/
WRINKLES

There are two types of aging, internal and external. The environment, especially here in Australia, is a source of external aging. Some of the visible effects include sagging, fine lines, wrinkles, course skin texture, sallowness and redness.

Internally, genetics play a part in how our skin appears to age too, the decline of collagen production decreases skin’s density and results in a loss of structural integrity and elasticity. Aging is a decrease in the skin’s functionality

BROKEN CAPILLARIES

There are several contributing factors to the condition of fragile weakened capillaries. The skin may not be performing to optimal levels due to poor oxygenation. This results in the body growing more vessels in order to get more oxygen to the area. Exposure to the sun and free radical damage is another factor. This creates oxidative stress, which in turn breaks down the dermal matrix, resulting in a thinning of the skin, leading to the appearance of facial redness as the blood vessels become closer to the skin.

HYPERPIGMENTATION/
AGE SPOTS/ SUN DAMAGE

Blemishes of melanic origin are a frequent skin beauty concern. In fact, pigmentation is perceived as the third most important skin problem after wrinkles and sagging. These blemishes have various origins, among which are: genetics, ethnic group, hormones, etc. Solar radicals are also triggering factors that increase the incidence of newlyappearing blemishes of melanic origin and the appearance of blemishes already established.

As a Specialist Depigmentation Centre, we offer an individualised treatment plan for your pigmentation concerns. Prior to treatment, we will perform a full skin evaluation to diagnose the type of skin hyperpigmentation and discuss your in-clinic and homecare options.

We have various treatment options on offer to help reduce and diminish your pigmentation. Our clinicians will advise you of a treatment plan most suited to your individual needs according to your type of pigmentation.

NB: Depigmentation treatments do have some downtime depending on the course of treatment required and a strict homecare regime must be followed to uphold the results.

STRETCH MARKS

Stretch marks are linear, smooth bands on the skin that, depending on skin color, can appear as red or purple and which can fade over time to leave silvery pale marks. Occurring in 40-90% of women as well as many men including bodybuilders, stretch marks can appear following rapid repeated over-stretching of the skin over weak connective tissue.
